How to earn broker fees

Register for the broker program
Complete the API Broker application form.You may start generating broker fees before your application is fully approved, but you must submit the application within two weeks of your first referred trade to remain eligible.

Find your referral code
Your default referral code is your Derive Wallet address. You can find it in the app under Home → Developers. You may also register a custom human-readable code on the application form.Codes are case sensitive.

Pass referral_code on every order
Place your referral code (or your Derive Wallet address) in the
referral_code field when submitting orders via private/order, quotes via private/send_rfq, or any other order-writing method. The field is supported over both WebSocket and HTTP POST.Brokers may also refer users via “referral links” generated by the UX. These links automatically fill in the referral_code field on trades placed from the linked session.Viewing your rewards

Fee tiers
You earn 10% of net trading fees from your first referred trade. Higher tiers unlock automatically when your 28-day volume or stDRV holdings cross the thresholds below.How the reward is calculated

Integrators approved for the API Broker program can also charge an additional builder fee on their users’ orders through theextra_fee field. Builder fees are paid on top of broker fees and passed directly to the integrator’s Derive Wallet.

Referrals
Thereferral_code field on orders and quotes is the referral mechanism exposed through the V3 API. Brokers can share invite links generated by the app that pre-fill the field. Multi-level invite endpoints from the legacy V2 API are not part of the V3 surface.
Rewards, thresholds, and the program itself are subject to change. All applicants are subject to review and approval by the Exchange. Participation is opt-in and requires providing all information requested on the application form.
